METHOD FOR INSTALLING STORAGE PUMP USING COILED TUBING AND PACKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise a motor operated pump without pulling a drain pipe off and easily reinstall it in place after inspection. SOLUTION: After a drain pipe 6 is installed at a pump suction position, a motor operated pump 1 insertable into the drain pipe is mounted at the end of a coiled tubing 9 in which a wire and a hose are inserted. A packer 8 which is expandable and contractable, insertable into the drain pipe when contracted, and served to fix the motor operated pump to the drain pipe and maintain water tightness when expanded is arranged on a discharge pipe for the motor operated pump. The motor operated pump and the coiled tubing are moved down into the drain pipe while hanging down the motor operated pump with the coiled tubing in the condition that the packer is contracted and the packer in the drain pipe is expanded when the motor operated pump arrives at a predetermined position, to fix the motor operated pump to the drain pipe and maintain water tightness in the drain pipe.
