SETTING CONTROLLING METHOD, DEVICE THEREOF, RECORDING DEVICE, PRODUCT, AND PROGRAM STORAGE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide setting specific to a driver by providing a customized setting list for a first user at least, reading first information segment from the list, writing second information segment from the information provided in the reading step into a function device in a vehicle. SOLUTION: In a storage device 100 built in a portable data carrying device such as a smart card, device setting specific to a particular vehicle driver is stored. When functional usage is required, the storage device 100 is submitted to a storage device accepting device 110 so as to be read by means of a control device 130. The control device 130 reads a single/plurality of function device/ devices 120 and processes data from the storage device 100 and the function device/devices 120 in combination. The processed data are written in the storage device 100 via the storage device accepting device 110. In this way, device setting specific to a driver and concerned with comfortableness, functions, safety, or a combination of them can be customized.
