Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compatible long-range traveling performance of an electric vehicle while maintaining the convenience for short-range traveling. SOLUTION: When a long cruising distance is not required, an electric vehicle V travels by driving a motor M with a battery Bm. When a long cruising distance is required, a trailer T2 provided with a generating module 8 made up of a fuel tank 6, an engine E and a generator 9 is linked with back of the electric vehicle V, which travels by driving the motor M while charging the battery Bm with power generated by the generating module 8. The battery Bm is always kept fully charged with the generating module 8 so that the traveling can be continued to the maximum extent with the power from the battery Bm, even if the trailer T2 is detached. When the battery Bm becomes empty, it is possible to start the electric vehicle V instantly by linking the trailer T2 with the electric vehicle V without waiting for the charging of the battery Bm to be finished.
