METHOD FOR CALCULATING CAPACITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacity calculating method by which a net capacity and the capacity of a component to be connected to a net are calculated without executing a circuit simulation. SOLUTION: A processing for reading the net list of a transistor level is executed (step 1) and, continuously, a processing for establishing a terminal name which requires terminal capacity calculation is executed (step 12). Then, a location processing for searching the net from the established terminal is executed (step 13). After that, a judgement processing for judging whether the component connected to the net is provided with the character of the capacity or the characteristic of flowing DC is executed (step 14). Then, finally, an addition processing where the capacities of the respective nets and the components are added to a variable number, and the value of the variable number at the point of time when location is ended is made to be a terminal capacity is executed (step 15). Thus, the terminal capacity is calculated without executing the circuit simulation.
