PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption in both an idle state and an operation state by setting a movement detection interval time to a specific value according to only detection information from a movement detecting means. SOLUTION: A movement detection part 13 detects movement detection signals XA and XB, YA and YB, and a button depression detection part 14 detects respective button depression signals. A control part 12 generates movement information and button depression information from the said respective detection signals and sets the movement detection interval time to a specific value according to the movement detection signals from the movement detector 13. A timer 15 generates the timing of the detection of the movement detection signals XA and XB, YA and YB according to the setting from the control part 12. A data memory 17 stores the said detection signals and a program memory 16 stores a program executed by the control part 12.
