PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure yarn hold at a yarn end-sucking block by intermittently sliding yarn-holding plates in a yarn holder on the upper face of a dial cap and feeding a certain amount of knitting yarn to the sucking block side and increase knitting efficiency by eliminating a mistake in yarn-switching and reducing the loss of products. SOLUTION: A yarn holder 9 that has yarn-holding plates 22 arranged in order from the upstream side down to the yarn feeding direction from a yarn guide, a sucking block 10 for sucking and holding the yarn ends of a knitting yarn 8 and a yarn-cutter 11 for cutting the knitting yarn are arranged onto the upper surface of a dial cap 1. When the knitting yarns are exchanged to other yarns and the knitting operation is started, the yarn ends 8a of the knitting yarns cut by the yarn cutter 11 are held by intermittently pressing the yarn-holding plates 22 of the yarn holder 9 to the opposing materials.
