Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a coating film excellent in durability by applying a primer on the outer surface of cables used for a suspension bridge and the like, applying a fast-hardening solvent-free urethane coating material, and further applying an overcoating material excellent in weatherability. SOLUTION: In a suspension bridge, the stiffening girder is suspended by suspenders 4 of the suspension cables 3, and the suspenders 4 are engaged with cable bands 5 attached to the suspension cables 3. After an oil content and the like deposited on the suspension cables and cable bands 5 are removed, a primer is applied on the surface to form a primer layer 7. After a sealing material 11 is supplied to fill the step between the suspension cable 3 and the cable band 5 and to fill recesses 10 in the engaging groove for the cable band 5, a fast-hardening solvent-free urethane coating material is sprayed to form a fast-hardening solvent-free urethane coating film 8. Then an overcoating material excellent in weatherability such as one-liquid water-based coating material is applied to protect the fast-hardening solvent-free urethane coating film from rain water and the like.
