Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaner and a cleaning method for removing even a relatively large foreign matter present in an ejection channel surely. SOLUTION: The ink jet head cleaner means 2 for supporting an ink jet head 20, a nozzle 7 ejecting cleaning liquid, means 8 for supporting the nozzle 7, means 9 for moving the nozzle 7 along the arranging direction of ejection channels 24, and a pump 15 for supplying pressurized cleaning liquid to the nozzle 7. When the nozzle 7 is moved along the arranging direction of ejection channels 24, cleaning liquid ejected from the nozzle 7 is fed sequentially into respective ejection channels 24 which are thereby cleaned.
