SOLUTION: This locking device has a lock main body 6 with rotatable member 17 rotated by an inserted key 15, a lock member 18 to inhibit rotation of the rotatable member 17 in the unlocking direction, an actuator 21 for an electromagnetic solenoid, etc., to drive and move the lock member 18 to the lock release position, detecting means for a lead switch, etc., to detect a detected body 27 such as a magnet 27, etc., equipped on the key 15. When the detecting means detected insertion of the detected body 27, the actuator 21 acts to unlock the lock.
