CONNECTOR STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow lock release and easy removal of a connector socket with one action by providing a structure where a knob member that is provided for the connector socket and moves vertically in its insertion/removal direction is pushed inward, the lock by a lock means during connection with a connector plug is released, and the connector socket is removed. SOLUTION: In engagement, right and left slide covers 40, knob members of a lock mechanism 3, move outward, a locking claw part of a cover body abuts to a stopper part of a connector socket 2, hook portions 53 of right and left arm members 41 engage with hook engaging portions 11 of a connector plug 1 to be locked. In release, a thumb and a forefinger of one hand push the outer ends of right and left slide covers 40 inward, and therefore, an arm member 41 turns around the tip of a fulcrum portion 54 to release the lock. Simultaneously, the connector socket 2 is removed from the connector plug 1 to release inter-contact of contacts. The action is easy from the human engineering viewpoint.
