LIGHTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system with which the display part of a display sheet can clearly be recognized by transmitting light through the display sheet from behind in a manner to impart entirely uniform brightness to it. SOLUTION: This lighting system A is composed by: installing a reflecting plate 2 made by forming recessed arc-like reflecting curved surfaces 2a in a continuous waves shape in a container 1 of which front is opened; installing a fluorescent lamp 3 in front of the central part of each of the recessed arc-like reflecting curved surfaces 2a of the reflecting plate 2; and extensively installing, in front of the fluorescent lamps 3, a translucent plate 4 on which reflecting layers having small reflectivity are formed in areas having small luminance while reflecting layers having large reflectivity are formed in areas having large luminance irradiated by the fluorescent lamps 3. Thereby, the light radiated from the fluorescent lamps 3 can be so dispersed and transmitted by the reflecting layers as to be radiated with uniform brightness from the entire surface of the translucent plate 4 and thus, display effect can be improved by illuminating a whole display sheet 5 clearly.
