Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rug and method for manufacturing the same which has the fragrance inherent in rush, gives off no foul smell such as that of a mat material and adhesive, has an antibacterial effect, and of which the effect of stress relieving is expected, as in forest therapy. SOLUTION: A rug S using rush has a mat portion 1 which is the body of the rug and comprises rush. A polyurethane sheet 2 which is a mat material is adhered to the back of the mat portion 1 with a powder of antibacterial agent in between. The antibacterial agent is applied to the back of the mat portion 1 and then an adhesive is applied to the agent before the agent is fixed on the mat portion 1. The rug S is ozone processed except for the rim fabric 6 of the mat portion 1.
