FLASH MEMORY UNIT AND METHOD FOR WRITING DATA TO FLASH MEMORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably write data to a flash memory at a high speed. SOLUTION: Data are written to respective physical sector numbers of a flash memory 6 corresponding to plural logical sector numbers for which write is requested by a host computer. A controller 1 successively generates a data elimination instruction of the physical sector number corresponding to the logical sector number to be processed next to the logical sector number, and also generates a data write instruction to the physical sector number corresponding to the logical sector number for the respective plural logical sector numbers with the write request. In response to the above, the flash memory 6 parallelly executes the data elimination of the physical sector number corresponding to the logical sector number to be processed next to the logical sector number and also executes the data write to the physical sector number corresponding to the logical sector number.
