STRETCHABLE POLYESTER WOVEN FABRIC AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stretchable polyester woven fabric with puffy feel and firm texture, presenting smooth and comfortable stretchability when worn as a piece of clothing. SOLUTION: This stretchable polyester woven fabric is obtained by the following procedure: a woven fabric is first made using such composite yarns as to be composed of conjugate filament yarns each made up of two kinds of polyester polymer differing in viscosity from each other, >=4 denier in single fiber fineness, >=7% in the stretch recovery in the form of a twisted yarn with 10,000 twist counts/D (D: denier) and >=0.2% in crimp manifestation extension and another filament yanrs with the number of interlaces of 20-100/m or the number of loops of 200-500/m and subjected to twisting with a twist multiplier A (A=T.D , T: number of twists (turns/m), D: denier) of 8,000-23,000; the fabric is then heated and relaxed to effect shrinkage at 15-50% in the longitudinal direction of the composite yarns so as to be 5-30% in the extension in the longitudinal direction involving the composite yarns, >=85% in stretch recovery and
