Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain saw guide rail of accurate dimension and lightweight. SOLUTION: A method is provided for assembling a guide rail 7 with a guide channel 4 one the outer peripheral side for a saw chain of a chain saw. The guide rail is formed of two side members 2 and 3 in parallel with each other and respective spacers 1, 11a and 11b disposed between the side members. The side members 2 and 3 are held at the interval conforming to the width of the guide channel by the spacers. The side members 2 and 3 are fixed and connected with the spacers each other inseparably on respective fixing sites 9. The spacers are provided on respective fixing sites 9. The spacers 1, 11a and 11b are fixed on one substrate 10, and the substrate is removed after connecting the side members 2 and 3 together.
