PRODUCTION OF GOLF BALL FORMED WITH METALLIC GLOSSY PART

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a golf ball partially formed with a portion having beautiful metallic gloss on its surface. SOLUTION: This process for production consists in producing a film A for transfer having layer constitution composed of a plastic film base material 6/a release layer 7/a surface protective layer 4/a metallic thin film layer 3/a thermoplastic layer 2, then bringing the thermoplastic layer 2 side into contact with the surface of the golf ball, heating and pressurizing the golf ball and releasing the plastic base material 6/the release layer 7, thereby transferring the thermoplastic layer 2/the metallic thin film layer 3/the surface protective layer 4 onto the surface of the golf ball 1. At this time, the golf ball may be provided with a transparent colored layer 5 between the metallic thin film layer 3 and the surface protective layer 4. As a result, the product with which the beautiful metallic gloss color is observed and which has a luxurious feel.
