Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polynucleotide newly isolated which possesses high homology over the whole length to the nucleic acid that codes for the polypeptide having a specific amino acid sequence and is useful for treatment and diagnosis assay for disorder relevant to ingestion, neurological disease, cancer and ache. SOLUTION: This newly isolated polynucleotide contains the nucleotide sequence having at least 85% of homology over the whole length to the nucleotide sequence that codes for the polypeptide of the formula or the nucleotide sequence complementary to the isolated polynucleotide and is useful in the treatment or diagnosis for disorder relevant to ingestion, e.g. obesity, cibophobia, blimia or the like, asthma, Parkinson disease, acute heart failure, hypertension, urinary retention, osteoporosis, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, ulcer, allergy, psychosis, neurological disease, cancer or ache. This polynucleotide is obtained as the pancreatic polypeptide gene by the use of normal cloning and screening from cDNA library arising from human fetus splenic cells by means of expression sequence tag(EST) analysis. |
