Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject distiller not needing many instruments and requiring only a small occupation area at a low cost. SOLUTION: This distiller has the first distillation section provided with a concentration portion and a recovery portion on and under a feed nozzle 41, respectively, the second distillation section connected to the upper end of the first distillation section, provided with a concentration portion and a recovery portion on and under the upper end, respectively, and used for discharging a liquid richly containing 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol from the overhead, the third distillation section provided with a concentration portion and a recovery portion on and under the lower end of the first distillation section, and used for discharging a liquid richly containing 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol diisobutyrate from the bottom, and a side cut nozzle 42 for discharging a liquid richly containing 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol monoisobutyrate.
