Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which is easy to use. SOLUTION: This display device is equipped with a liquid crystal display part 2a which can display specific display contents and a light source part 2b which emits irradiation light by being fed with electricity so that the display contents displayed on the liquid crystal display part 2a can be viewed, and provided with a detection part 8 which outputs a detection signal on detecting whether or not there is a living body facing the liquid crystal display part 2a and a control part 7 which controls the electricity feeding to the light source part 2b according to the detection signal inputted from the detection part 8.
