Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject polysaccharides by oxidizing polysaccharides with a combination of a ruthenium compound and a specific concentration of an oxidizing agent. SOLUTION: This objective polysaccharides (e.g.; tricarboxy starch) is obtained by oxidizing (A) polysaccharides, e.g.; a starch (a corn starch, a tapioca starch, etc.), with a combination of (B) a ruthenium compound (e.g.; ruthenium dioxide) and (C) >=15 wt.% oxidizing agent (e.g.; hypochloric acid) at preferably 0-100 deg.C in a solution of pH 1-13. In the above reaction, it is preferable to use approximately 0.5-10 fold mol component (C) to the component (A), and approximately 0.00001-1.0 fold mol component (B) to 1 mol constituting monosaccharide unit of the component (A). The objective polysaccharides have 1000-100,000 averaged molecular weight. |
