COMPRESSOR FOR REFRIGERATING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the connection of a pipeline for conducting refrigerant and permit the reduction of an installing space by a method wherein a four-way valve for switching the conducting direction of refrigerant is attached directly to a easing to integrate them. SOLUTION: A screw type compressor 21, sucking and compressing refrigerant by rotating a screw about a horizontal axial line, is provided with a suction port 22 and a discharging port 23, which are formed at both sides of the axial line direction. A four-way valve 24, switching the flowing direction of refrigerant upon cooling operation and heating operation, is attached directly to the casing 25 of the compressor 21 to integrate them. The suction port 22 is attached directly to the four-way valve 24 while the four-way valve 24 is connected to an indoor side heat exchanging connecting pipe and an outdoor side heat exchanging connecting pipe, then, is connected to the discharging port 23 of the compressor 21 through a non-return valve 28 and a refrigerant discharging pipe 29. According to this method, the connection of a pipeline for conducting refrigerant is simplified and the space of installation of the same can be minimized.
