WASTE MELTING FURNACE AND TEMPERATURE CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste melting furnace and a temperature control method therefor in which melting response of waste, i.e., ash, is enhanced while reducing investment for the facility and the utility cost. SOLUTION: Incineration ash 9 of waste, heavy fuel oil 15, combustion air 13 and oxygen 12 are fed into a furnace body 2 where the incineration ash 9 is melted and molten slag 4 is discharged from a slag tap 5. In such a waste melting furnace 1, means 16 for detecting temperature at the stag tap 5 part and means 17 for detecting flow-down condition of slag from the slag tap 5 are provided in relation to the furnace body 2 and a control means operating unit 18 controls the oxygen rich rate of combustion air 13 depending on the state detected by the detecting means 16, 17.
