Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and inexpensively attain the improvement of earthquake resistance safety as the whole building by incorporating a seismic control device comprising a steel material damper or the like on a stud, a mullion wall or the like being the sub-structural part of a building. SOLUTION: A stud 2 is provided on the part of the entrance of the corridor side of an apartment house 1, and a mullion wall 3 is set on the side of the south balcony of the contrary side. A steel material damper is incorporated on these mullion wall 3 and the stud 2 being the sub-structural part of a building as a seismic control device, and earthquake resistance performance is improved as the whole building. The seismic control device may employ a laminated type visco-elastic damping mechanism and a piston type damping mechanism sandwiching a visco-elastic body between a plurality of steel plates. The damping mechanism is imparted to the sub-structural part of the building conventionally not considered as the countermeasure member of earthquake resistance safety to effectively be utilized and the improvement of the earthquake resistance safety as the whole building can be attained simply and inexpensively.
