Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop secure joint strength at an extension execution boundary by executing extension repair by coating the surface in the eroded part of the lining of a vessel for molten metal with an intermediate material of a specific compsn., then selectively heating the intermediate material by irradiation with microwaves. SOLUTION: The compsn. of the intermediate material 4 used for repair of the lining material 2 to be repaired on the permanent bricks of the vessel 1 for molten metal, such as a ladle for steel making is composed to contain, by weight %, 50 to 80% alumina of a grain size below 50 μm, 10 to 40% SiC or C powder of a grain size below 50 μm and 3 to 10% org. binder. This material is coated at 5 to 10 mm thickness on the repair surface and the lining material for repair is jointed by the conventional method and is aged and dried. The repair surface is thereafter irradiated with the microwaves and the intermediate material 4 is heated to >=1200 deg.C to form a chemical bond phase at the extension boundary. The alumina of the compsn. of the intermediate material 4 may be replaced with magnesia and the material may be heated to >=1500 deg.C. |
