DRAIN VALVE OPENING/CLOSING MECHANISM OF SANITARY CLEANING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the construction, and to reduce the occupied space by providing a member to be engaged provided on a toilet side and an engaging member provided on a sanitary cleaning device side in an attachable/detachable manner by a push/pull rod for opening/closing a drain valve. SOLUTION: When a push/pull rod 4 is pushed by a finger-hooking part 4a, a left end part of the push-pull rod 4 is abutted on a right end part of a right-to-left lever 13 to push the right-to-left lever 13. Engagement of a hook-shaped recess of a member to be engaged provided on a toilet side with a hook-shaped projection 15 of an engaging member provided on the side of the right-to-left lever 13 and a sanitary cleaning device is released, and the sanitary cleaning device is detached from the toilet. When the sanitary cleaning device is detached, and a drain valve 3 is opened, engagement of a small projection (d) with a lock pin (e) is released by the pushing operation of the push/pull rod 4, a lever 5 is turned counterclockwise to move a support shaft of the drain valve 3 downward, and the water discharge valve 3 is closed. Because the drain valve 3 is automatically closed in the interlocking manner with the detaching operation of the sanitary cleaning device, a construction can be simplified.
