Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve such problems that the temp. is remarkably lowered caused by large thermal conductivity in the case of forming the conventional heat- insulating roll with a metal as a whole, and heat-insulating mortar, etc., is deteriorated caused by repeating of raising/lowering of the temp. to change the mortar, etc., to powder in the case of using the heat-insulating mortar, etc., partly. SOLUTION: A heat-insulating roll has a constitution which forms a roll body 6A by laminating many inorganic material disks 6 on the outer periphery of a metallic shaft 1 in the shaft direction and fits a heat-resistant metallic tube 7 on the outer periphery of the roll body 6A, and further, arranges an outer tube formed with a ceramic thermal-spraying layer on the outer periphery of this heat-resistant metallic tube 7 or fits a ceramic sintered sleeve instead of this heat-resistant metallic tube 7.
