SHEET METAL STRUCTURE HAVING SHIELDING FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sheet metal structure which can attain a contact between a casing and a cover for providing a sufficient shielding function without causing upward lift of the cover. SOLUTION: The structure includes a box-shaped casing 2 having an opening in its one side and having insert receivers 21 outwardly projected at one edge side of the opening, and also includes a cover 3 having inserts 31 provided at an edge of the opening of the casing 2 to be abutted against the one edge as projected in the same direction as the insert receivers 21 and at the same level as the receivers 21 to cover the opening. With the casing 2 and cover 3 tilted, the inserts 31 are inserted into holes 22 of the insert receivers 21, the open side is closed and the casing 2 and cover 3 are fixed. Thereby the inserts 31 are resiliently deformed so that the inserts 31 and insert receivers 21 are maintained in their engaged state. Further, contact parts 6 for plastically deforming the inserts 31 and bringing into resilient contact with the cover 3 are provided to the casing 2.
