PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector in which a contact will not be brought into contact with a counterpart connector, even when the counterpart connector is moved in a horizontally so as to enhance workability at the time of connection and disconnection of a miniature card or the like to and from the counterpart connector. SOLUTION: A connector comprising a connector housing 31, a plurality of projecting contacts 331, 332 housed inside the connector housing 31, and a side positioning projection 38 extending upward of tip projecting portions 331e, 332e of the projecting contacts 331, 332. In the projecting contacts 331, 332, the tip projecting portions 331e, 332e project upward from the upper surface of the connector housing 31. The side positioning projection 38 is received inside an engaging groove 96a at the connecting of to a miniature card 9, thereby positioning the connection position to the miniature card 9.
