DEVICE FOR DIAGNOSING DEGRADATION OF MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of observing the magnetic domains of material, directly evaluating the state of deposit, and diagnosing the degradation of material. SOLUTION: A device for nondestructively measuring the material degradation of apparatus due to the passage of time is provided with an atomic force microscope 2 as a device for detecting the state of the magnetic domains of material, an active damping arrangement 3 for canceling ambient vibrations, and a device 4 for grinding coatings on the surface of a body to be measured, measures the state of the magnetic domains of the body to be measured, predicting the change of a metallographic structure in the material, and determines the degradation of the material.
