Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly discharge chips, and to avoid thermal deformation by movably providing a shielding member for capturing the chips generated by bobbing work to a workpiece. SOLUTION: Chips generated by cutting of a dry cut are captured by a shielding box 31, and fall on a receiving member 27 to be discharged outside a gear hobbing machine 11 by a conveyor. Therefore, since the chips do not bring into contact with a bed 12 and a table 18, heat of the chips is not transmitted to the gear hobbing machine 11, so that a problem of thermal deformation is not caused. Since the shielding box 31 is installed in a support center 21, in the case of carrying in and out a work 23 by a loader 24, when the support center 21 rises, the shielding box 31 also rises, so that the shielding box 31 does not become a hindrance when carrying in and out the work 23. Therefore, even if the shielding box 31 is arranged, influence is not exerted on carrying in and out of the work 23.
