AC GENERATOR FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC generator for vehicle, in which permanent magnets can be held and fixed surely between the pawl sections of pawl-like magnetic poles against the strong centrifugal forces applied accompanying the permanent magnets when a rotor rotates. SOLUTION: Permanent magnets 9, which prevent the leakage of magnetic fluxes between pawl-like magnetic poles 11 and 12, are positioned between the pawl sections 13 and 14 of the pawl-like magnetic poles 11 and 12 of the Randel type rotor of an AC generator for vehicles and a cylindrical regulating member 10, which regulates the movement of the magnets 9 in the diametral direction, is positioned in such a state that the member 10 is brought into contact with the magnets 9. Since the member 10 can be fixed firmly to the magnetic poles 11 and 12 when the member 10 is joined with and fixed to the pawl section 13 and 14 of the magnetic poles 11 and 12, by subjecting the member to die-casting molding, welding, brazing, etc., the magnets 9 can be held and fixed firmly between the pawl sections 13 and 14 of the pawl-like magnetic poles 11 and 12.
