SIGNAL TRANSMISSION DEVICE FOR COMPUTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device which can fast transmit the data and also can transmit the signals to an external display device that is located far from the device body by transmitting through an optical fiber bundle after the image signals are switched to the optical signals. SOLUTION: This signal transmission device switches the image signals to the optical signals and transmits them via an optical fiber bundle 40. The bundle 40 comprises a plurality of optical fibers which exclusively send the beams that are emitted from the semiconductor lasers 32a to 32d, and the ferrules 41 and 43 are connected to both ends of the bundle 40. The ferrule 41 connected to one of both ends of the bundle 40 is connected to a semiconductor laser array 35 so as to make the optical fibers correspond to the lasers 32a to 32d respectively. The ferrule 43 connected to the other end of the bundle 40 is connected to a photoreceiver array 45 of a display device 110. The signals which are detected at the array 45 are switched to the image signals at a conversion part 51.
