ANTISEPTIC ANT-CONTROLLING AGENT FOR WOOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antiseptic ant-controlling agent which is safe in environmental pollution, men and beasts, shows lasting high antiseptic effect and also possesses ant-controlling effect by including a specific quarternary ammonium salt and a pyrethroid compound as active ingredients. SOLUTION: This antiseptic ant-controlling agent contains (A) a quarternary ammonium salt comprising a twinalkyl ammonium salt (e.g. a compound of formula II or the like) of formula I (R and R are each an 8-14C alkyl, an alkenyl or the like; R is a 1-2C alkyl or the like; R is a 1-2C alkyl or the like; the counterion X is a halogen ion or the like) and/or an alkyl benzyl ammonium salt (e.g. a compound of formula IV or the like) of formula III (R is an 8-18C alkyl or the like; R is methyl or the like; R and R are each a 1-2C alkyl, an alkenyl or the like) and (B) a pyrethroid compound (e.g. permethrin or the like) as active ingredients. On the objective antiseptic ant- controlling agent, the components A and B are preferably blended in proportions of 0.01-60 wt.% and 0.01-10 wt.% respectively.
