Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength dispersion compensating device which minimizes the necessary number of dispersion compensation fibers and the entire required amount. SOLUTION: Dispersion compensation fibers DCF10 to DCF40 successively transmit an optical signal of each wavelength, constituting a wavelength multiple signal and give each optical signal wavelength dispersion to compensate for the wavelength dispersion in the transmission process. On the output side of each dispersion compensation fiber, a light branching means consisting of fiber gratings FG11, FG12, etc., takes out two kinds of optical signals of specific wavelength from a wavelength multiple signal. Each optical signal taken out by each light branching means is made a wavelength multiple signal through an arrayed waveguide grating AWG2, after separately being amplified according to a fixed level by light amplifiers AMP1 to AMP8 and is supplied to an optical fiber for transmission. |
