Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel with high efficiency and capable of radiating heat, in addition to the characteristics of thin structure by forming a metal layer on the outer surface of a back side substrate. SOLUTION: A pair of sustaining electrodes X, Y arranged on the inner surface of a glass substrate 1 is formed by arranging metal films 3 into a belt shape, and arranging transparent conductive films 4 on a discharge space 7 side via a dielectric layer 5. A protecting layer 6 made of MgO is placed on the dielectric layer 5. A partition 10 which sections the discharge space 7 by each unit luminescent region in the direction crossing perpendicular to the sustaining electrodes X, Y is formed on the inner surface of a glass substrate 2, and an address electrode A is installed between the partitions 10, and a phosphor layer 8 is formed on the address electrode A. A metal layer 20 on the outside surface is made of metal with high heat conductivity and low electric resistance, such as aluminum. By the metal layer 20 having high thermal conductivity formed on the outside surface of glass substrate 2 on the back side, heat of a display panel generated by plasma discharge is efficiently radiated to the surrounding space, and a thin plasma display panel whose temperature rise is low is obtained. |
