DOUBLE SLIDING DOOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any troubles related to opening and closing caused by warping of a sliding door without increasing the clearance between sliding door leaves. SOLUTION: A double slidding door comprises two sliding leaves 1a, 1b, at the side of a Japanese style room of the sliding door 1a, a total of six friction reducing projected members 2 are attached with an adhesive or the like at three stages in the vicinity of upper edge, in the vicinity of lower edge and in the vicinity of intermediate height one member at the right and left respectively, and they are so arranged that they correspond to a neighboring sliding door leaf 1b. At the side of a Western style room of the sliding door leaf 1b, three protecting members 3 are attached in 3 stages in the vicinities of upper edge, lower edge and intermediate height and the tips of projections 2 contact and run over the protecting members 3, that is, the protecting member 3 becomes a sliding surface for the projection 2 thereby preventing damage to the sliding door leaf 1b.
