Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper frame construction for insulating sash capable of creating a higher supporting strength for a shoji screen, reducing the occurrence of dew condensation, providing a better workability and reducing the costs. SOLUTION: This upper frame comprises an exterior metal frame (a) exposed to outdoor side and an interior synthetic resin film (b) exposed to indoor side. In this case, the exterior metal frame (a) has a rail 15 inside an upper frame metal linked to a guide groove formed and opened at the upper end of an inner shoji screen B2 and a rail 14 outside an upper frame metal linked to a guide groove formed and opened to the upper end of an outer shoji screen B1. And the interior synthetic resin frame (b) has a hung resin portion 18a covering the indoor side surface of the outer rail 14 for upper frame metal and a groove-shaped resin portion 18 covering both the side surfaces of the rail 15 inside the upper frame metal, links the hung resin portion 18a at the indoor side of the outer rail 14 for upper frame metal, fits and fixes the groove shaped resin portion 18 to the rail 15 inside the upper frame metal, and forms the upper frame outer rail 11 and upper frame inner rail 12.
