Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously drying polyester chips using a single column-type dryer stably with no operational problem so as to suppress chip fusing and discharge cloggings. SOLUTION: This method for continuously drying polyester chips comprises feeding undried polyester chips from a undried polyester chip feed section 1 on the top of a dryer and feeding dehumidified hot air from a dehumidified hot air feed section 3 at the bottom to effect drying the chips in the dryer; wherein dehumidified cool air is fed from dehumidified cool air feed sections 4a, 4b to control the temperature of undried polyester chip stay zone at >=40 deg.C but not higher than the glass transition temperature of the polyester chips so as to suppress occurrence of chip fusing and discharge cloggings and conduct stable continuous operation.
