Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a release treatment agent that can manifest the releasing effect with a reduced application amount compared with the conventional and is useful as a release sheet with reduced migration of the agent into the adhesive layer. SOLUTION: This release treatment agent mainly comprises an ethylene oxide-added ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer represented by the formula (a block copolymer having recurring structural block units of integers in which x is 5-15; m is 8-23; n is 1-2; the,number average molecular weight is 1,000-10,000 on the whole). In a preferred embodiment, this treatment agent mainly comprises a reaction product of the copolymer of the formula with a 1-60 deg.C branched or straight-chain alkyl isocyanate. The copolymer of the formula is prepared, for example, by saponifying a low molecular-weight ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer to an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and adding ethylene oxide to the resulting copolymer.
