HIGH-VOLTAGE GENERATOR AND DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost, small volume, and very efficient high-voltage generator. SOLUTION: A high-voltage generator has a high voltage unit 1 for generating output series high-voltage Uout and a high-voltage generating unit 2 for generating another one or more series high voltage VF1 , UF2 . The high-voltage generating unit 2 receives DC voltage from the high-voltage unit 1 and has an adjustment unit 3 for adjusting the series high voltages UF1 , UF2 , which are different from the output series high voltage Uout and are in a voltage range between the lower limit voltage and the higher limit voltage. The high- voltage unit 1 supplies, to the adjustment unit 3, DC voltage which is somewhere between 100% and 20% of the lower limit voltage at a connection 3B and DC voltage which is somewhere between 50% and 100% of the lower limit voltage at another connection 3A and is connected to at least one DC point of the high-voltage unit 1 with respect to DC points A, B which hold DC voltages UA, UB which are somewhere between 50% of the lower limit voltage and 200% of the higher limit voltage.
