Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method to prepare a blend of a tackifying resin with a low mol.wt. polyphenylene ether resin. SOLUTION: The polyphenylene ether resin and the tackifying resin comprising a terpene-based ester, a terpene ether or a mixture thereof are mixed in an organic solvent and subsequently the organic solvent is removed by devolatilization, vaporization, spray drying, stripping or a combination thereof to isolate a tackifying polyphenylene ether resin mixture.
