PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate handling of a detergent in a detergent placing table provided with a fitting hook at the back by removably latching the hook in a latch hole formed in a suitable place of the outer peripheral surface of a washing machine. SOLUTION: A detergent placing table 6 is formed like a substantially lunch box in such a manner that low side walls 6b are erected in the periphery of a rectangular flat plate part 6a with the upper surface open, and a substantially semicircular back plate 6c is integrally projected from the upper end of the side wall 6b of one long side. One downward hook 7 is integrally projected on the back side of the central upper part of the back plate 6c. On the other hand, one latch hole 8 where the hook 7 is latched is provided in a suitable place such as the front or the side of the outer peripheral surface of the outer casing 1 of the washing machine or the side of a top cover 2. In use, the hook 7 of the detergent placing table 6 is inserted in the latch hole 8 of the washing machine side, whereby the detergent placing table 6 is supported on the side of the washing machine, and a detergent box or the like is placed on the detergent placing table 6.
