Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a device to use respective interlace edge generating means with respect progressive video signals separately distributed on two system lines respectively. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a pre-edge processing circuit 11, that applies proper pre-edge processing to progressive video signals separately distributed on two system lines, depending on a state of both the signals and with edge-generating circuits 18, 19 that apply pre-edge generating processing similar to that for interlace pre-edge generating processing with respect to the signals of two systems receiving the pre-edge processing to avoid any nonconformity from being caused in the progressive video signals.
