Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent gas generation in a battery, and enhance the capacity and rate capability of the battery, by providing an additive agent with a means for substantially removing gas generation in the battery and a means for enhancing at least one of the capacity and the rate capability of the battery. SOLUTION: An electrolyte 18 of a battery 10 contains a solvent 20 or a mixture thereof, a radical-deactivating agent 22 (arbitrary), and an additive agent 24. A compound having bicyclic lactone, for example, is used as the additive agent 24, which has a plurality of functional groups. That is, it has a functional group reacting with carbonaceous electrode boundary faces earlier than any solvent 20 in the electrolyte 18, a functional group substantially preventing any solvent 20 in the electrolyte 18 from contacting with the carbonacious faces by forming a passive-state layer on each carbonacious face, a functional group not generating gases in the battery 10 by decomposition during its charge/discharge cycles and storage, and a functional group enhancing the capacity and rate capability of the battery 10 by enhancing surface 'wettability' of the electrode boundary faces. |
