FUSER MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating layer capable of adjusting conductivity and excellent in various characteristics by forming a resistance heating layer with carbon black of multiple different kinds. SOLUTION: A copying sheet 16 transferred with a developed image is sent to a fusing mechanism 19 to pass between a fuser roll 24 and a press roll 28, and the developed image is fused and fixed on the copying sheet 16. The fuser material of the fuser roll 24 is made of the carbon black mixed with the graphite carbon black having the grain size of 0. 1-100 μm and the conductive carbon black having the grain size of 10-80 nm and a nature different from that of graphite. A coating excellent in electrical, chemical and mechanical characteristics is obtained, the conductivity can be controlled, the warming-up time of the fuser material is shortened, a high-temperature operation is allowed, and power consumption can be saved.
