METHOD FOR SAVING DATA AND OUTSIDE STORAGE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save various data without necessitating any intervene of a host device. SOLUTION: An outside storage device 30 for data backup is connected through a cable 14 with an outside storage device 20 connected through channels 2-3, disks I/F 5-6, and cables 10-14 with a host device such as a large-scaled general computer 1 and a personal computer 4 so as to be shared. Then, data backup is operated by automatically saving arbitrary data on the outside storage device 20 by arbitrary units and arbitrary chances in the outside storage device 30 for data backup without any intervene of the host device according to a control logic and control information provided inside the outside storage device 20.
