Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain hydrogen peroxide together with ozone and oxygen with high efficiency by electrolyzing water by using an anode contg. an electrode material having a conductive diamond structure. SOLUTION: The electrode is constituted by coating an electrode base body with a material consisting of fine particles of about 0.01 to 1 μm having the conductive diamond structure. This electrode is used as the anode of an electrolytic cell. The base body may also be commonly used as a current collector, for which materials, such as titanium, niobium, tantalum, silicon, carbon and nickel tungsten carbide, are used. The anode and cathode are energized therebetween while pure water is supplied from the pure water supply port of the electrolytic cell. The acidic water dissolved with the hydrogen peroxide, ozone and oxygen is formed in the anode chamber. Alkaline water is formed in the cathode chamber. An impurity, such as phosphous, boron, is added to the diamond which is the electrode material of the anode to impart the electrical conductivity thereto. The amt. of the hydrogen peroxide and ozone to be generated may be regulated by selecting the kind and amt. of the impurities or selecting electrolytic conditions.
