BATCH TYPE SOLID PHASE POLYMERIZATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a batch type solid phase polymn. device which can manufacture a highly polymerized synthetic polymer pellet with a high productivity while requiring no extension or regulation of reaction time, etc. SOLUTION: In a batch type solid phase polymn. device, that is, a tightly sealed reactor 1 in which synthetic polymer pellets are solid phase polymerized by heating in vacuo, a filtering material 10 made of a thermally transformable metal material is set at the vent of the reactor 1 as a filter to prevent ejection of the pellets. It is pref. that the frame work of the filter is a lattice-like metal net, and along the line of the lattice a needle of a shape-memory alloy made from titanium and nickel is attached with its one side fixed, and the needle is transformed according to the temp. change to the inside of the lattice, essentially changing the size of the opening of the lattice.
