Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaping sheet suited for use as hobby material or teaching material for amateurs and schoolchildren. SOLUTION: This shaping sheet is made from vulcanized fibers having a water absorption coefficient of about 15 to 17% when immersed in water for about 10 to 120 seconds, selected from vulcanized fibers which meet requirements that thicknesses are in the range of 0.18 to 0.35 mm and that water absorbing capacities per hour are in the range of 61 to 68%. A method for manufacturing a vulcanized fiber shaping includes immersing the shaping sheet in water for about 10 to 120 seconds, pulling up the sheet from the water to maintain a water absorption of about 15 to 17%, manually shaping the sheet in that state into the required shape to obtain a shaping, and drying the shaping.
