REPLACEABLE CONTAINERIZED MISSILE AND STRUCTURE FOR REPEATING MISSILE LAUNCHER WITH CHIMNEY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize corrosion in chimney by providing a plenum coupled with the second surface of a shield plate while enclosing it completely and defining a pass passage between any one and any other openings in the shield plate. SOLUTION: A shield plate 28 having upper and lower surfaces 28u, 281 contiguous to a caster/chimney holding chamber at the lower end of a lattice structure secured, at a plurality of caster/chimney openings 30a-30j, to the missile exhaust end of corresponding caster/chimney holding tubes 20a-20j while being aligned. Profile of the plenum 32 is defined by a plenum chamber 34 having semicircular wall 36 around the axis 7 wherein the plenum 32 are partitioned, at the opposite ends thereof, by semicircular walls 38a, 38b and entirely bonded with the edge of the shield plate 28 such that the plenum 32 is formed semicylinclrically.
